Adam Piacente, founder of Marin SAT Prep, is a former attorney and legal writing teacher who designed academic course materials at two law schools. He is also the published author of a number of instructional texts, including the official launch guide for the lexis.com legal research service.

One summer, after deciding the time had come to transition from law, Adam took a position as a private tutor and tutor trainer with an elite SAT prep company.  He quickly discovered that he really enjoyed tutoring students in the SAT, and soon began developing new and more effective methods for teaching the test. These new methods proved so successful at helping students achieve significantly higher SAT test scores, that Adam started his own test prep company.
